Dr. Ginni McDonald is the dedicated Superintendent of the Russellville School District, where she is deeply committed to supporting students and families in the Russellville community. With over 27 years of experience in public education and academic leadership, Dr. McDonald excels in continuous school improvement and strategic planning, always prioritizing student success. Her extensive background in education provides her with a comprehensive understanding of the needs and challenges faced by students, teachers, and the broader community. In 2017, Dr. McDonald was honored as the Arkansas Secondary School Principal of the Year, reflecting her exceptional leadership and commitment to excellence in education.
Since assuming the role of Superintendent at RSD, Dr. McDonald has led the district with a clear focus on fostering student success, nurturing relationships, and ensuring a safe, collaborative learning environment for all. Her leadership has brought about significant advancements in staff collaboration, the creation of safe and effective learning environments, and the establishment of robust support systems for both students and educators.
Dr. McDonald is a 2024 graduate of the AASA National Superintendent Certification Program. She holds a Doctorate in Education and an Educational Specialist degree from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. Additionally, she earned a Master of Science in Special Education and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Henderson State University in Arkadelphia.
An active member of the Russellville community, Dr. McDonald is a graduate of the Russellville Regional Leadership Academy, serves on The Center for the Arts Foundation Board, and is a member of the Russellville Lions Club. Dr.McDonald’s involvement in these organizations reflects her dedication to enhancing the relationship between schools and community.
