The honorable Kim Hammer serves as Arkansas State Senator for District 16, representing parts of Saline and southwestern Pulaski Counties. Elected to the Senate in 2018 after eight years in the House, Senator Hammer serves on the Education Committee and is deeply committed to education, healthcare, election integrity, and community welfare. He has championed legislation on pediatric healthcare, mental health, and public health emergencies. A dedicated pastor since 1978, he was instrumental in organizing Saline Memorial Hospice and also served as a chaplain there. Senator Hammer and his wife, Karen, who is a Benton School District board member, are proud parents of three children and seven grandchildren.
